The new year has lead to a few potential nights of observing. The main problem over the last few weeks has been the cold and also the snow. So far in January there have been about 4 nights when the sky would have been good enough for observing. However the weather cooperating is only half of the picture.

Another issue now is the lack of locations for observing. due to the track for snowmobiles at the tiny marsh site there is no way of entering the car park safely without bottoming the car on the ice. The last time we tried to get in there the car-park was in accessible. We’re trying to find another location but if that fails it looks like there will be minimal observing for the next couple of months.
