Comet 46P and Pleiades

The comet 46P flyby which was to be the closest comet approach for years. This was occurring on the evening of the 16th of Dec and for the first time on about 2 months it was clear. The moon was fairly large on this day and the sky was a little washed out.

Initially the sky was clear and we setup cameras etc but soon after it started to cloud. after waiting for the cloud to clear it did indeed become very clear and the sky was very clear.

the below is a composite of 10 x 60s at ISO 1600 and 180mm using a Canon 6D and a Sigma 150-600mm lens. the images are dark, bias and flat corrected.
